Henk De Wit's Waiting Room is a new context-specific performance installed in the available space during HENK. Henk De Wit is a fictional character under which name events combining art and party are organized. Using black lights, various materials and only one colour - white - I transform a room with two doors and no windows into an environment for encounter and experience. The hostess dressed in white invites 4 persons at the time to the waiting room, where following her instructions they have a chance to encounter Henk De Wit.
"Welcome to Henk De Wit's Waiting Room, I will be your encounter attendant during this session, trying to mmake this experience as pleasant as possible"
"The emotion state indicators will placed around your left rist now"
"Monitoring of your emotional state is in progress now, please relax, remain calm and breath normally, encounter with Henk De Wit may occur any moment now"
"I am afraid some emotional turbullence has been registeredin the room, this may delay the encounter"
"Would you care for anti-stress ball?"
"I am sorry but levels of stress in this room are exceeding the norm allowing the encounter"
"Please try to relax, we advise you to focus on happy feelings, friendship and love and please check in later"
